About the 2022 American Silver Eagle
2022 was the first year struck entirely with the Type 2 reverse, Emily Damstra’s eagle coming in to land with an oak branch. Collectors building a run of the new design usually start with 2022. The obverse is Weinman’s Walking Liberty, with details of the original design restored in 2021.
