About the American Silver Eagle

The American Silver Eagle is the official silver bullion coin of the United States, struck by the US Mint since 1986. Each coin contains one troy ounce of 0.999 fine silver, carries a $1 face value, measures 40.6 mm across and has a reeded edge. The obverse shows Adolph A. Weinman’s Walking Liberty; the reverse changed in mid-2021 from John Mercanti’s heraldic eagle (Type 1) to Emily Damstra’s landing eagle (Type 2).

How the price is set: Each coin page shows the price per coin and any lower price for larger quantities, and your cart applies the right price automatically.

Orders ship to US addresses by USPS, UPS or FedEx with tracking, usually within 1–2 business days. If you are new to silver, start with our guides to how prices work and how to check that a coin is genuine.
